Of the many methods of obtaining prophecy in Icaria, none is so revered as the reception of a future from the Sakjeden. The Grove, as known by the Fae, exist cloaked in myth, their origins predating even that of all elves, gnomes, centaurs, and any other Faen that still walk the continent. Their prophecies may be rendered in two ways: personal or general. A personal prophecy is offered to someone who makes the pilgrimage to the Grove to ask for it. It is tied to that individual’s life, guaranteed to come to fruition in some form or fashion. The general prophecy is not tied to the life of the person who hears it. It is tied to the land and therefore it can come true at any point after it is given.
While that prophecy is perhaps the best known, there are others that still affected the lives and doings of the continent. Below is one such prophecy.

Wind in the willows
Ships in by sea
Off bone graves and sea waves
The new age shall be
They’ll come for the land
They’ll stay for the life
And under their new graves
The humans will lie
Next to the Faen
Whose bones never rot
The humans will find
A deep love lost
And unto their end
Will both races run
Until either side
Decides grief
Outweighs pride.

Widely assumed to be a general prophecy, this was actually offered to a Faen in the late days of the first age. Sadly, he was killed in the ensuing Fae wars with the humans, but he had communicated his personal prophecy to his family and additional Faen. An Aslanti scholar tracked it down for the book “A short compendium of Icarian Prophecy” but it is unclear whether this was the first prophecy or if it has been interpreted and remembered differently.
